Steadyline is a personal health, nutrition, activity, measurement and habit-tracking service operated through steadyline.co.uk. This notice explains what information is processed, why it is needed and the controls available to members.
Information you provide
Your account can contain your name, email address, password credential, height, weight, measurements, goals, meals, habits, reminders, milestones and optional progress photographs. Finance information is only stored when you deliberately enable and use that optional area.
Connected health information
The Android app can, with your explicit permission, read the Health Connect categories you approve, including activity, sleep, heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation and compatible body-composition information. Optional scale-weight importing is controlled separately. This information is used to provide your private tracking and insights; it is not sold, used for targeted advertising or shared with data brokers. You can pause synchronisation or revoke permissions through your device settings.
Offline storage and synchronisation
The Android app keeps essential check-ins, weigh-ins and manually logged foods on your device so they remain usable without a signal. Pending records are sent to your private Steadyline account when connectivity returns. Signing out removes access to the app, while ordinary Android application-storage controls remain available through your phone settings.
Administration boundary
The Steadyline owner can manage membership status, account recovery, units, nutrition approach and optional feature access. The administration suite does not provide access to members’ progress photographs, weights, measurements, meals, finances, daily check-ins or connected-health readings. Passwords are never visible to administrators; recovery uses a time-limited, single-use link and disconnects older sessions after use.
Optional community
Community discovery is off by default. If you opt in, other members may search for the display name and short introduction you choose. Steadyline does not publish a general member directory or reveal member email addresses. Progress updates are shown only to accepted connections, and you control whether encouragement is enabled.
How information is protected
Passwords are stored as salted, computationally derived hashes rather than readable passwords. Browser sessions use secure HTTP-only cookies, and the Android session is protected using the device keystore. Records are scoped to the signed-in member. Private photographs are stored separately and are not included in community or administrator views.
Purpose and legal basis
Account and tracking data is processed to provide the service requested by the member. Security and abuse-prevention records are processed to protect the service and its users. Connected health information and optional community visibility rely on the member’s active choices and can be withdrawn. Steadyline applies data-minimisation by limiting each interface to the information needed for its purpose.
Retention and your choices
Records remain while your account is active or until you delete individual entries or request account removal. You can edit and delete supported records, revoke sharing links, disconnect Health Connect and leave community discovery. You may also request access, correction, export or deletion through the Steadyline operator. Certain limited records may need to be retained where required for security or legal obligations.
